Parents,
I hope you had a wonderful weekend! We have a few fun days coming up! Tuesday we will do some activities in class in honor of our 100th day. We also have the Valentine's Day party on Feb. 15th (Friday half-day) at 9:00. A sign-up sheet came home for that on Friday.
We are focusing on: Math: Money and Telling Time Reading: We will working on prefixes this week. We will also be working on text features, main idea/details, and identifying author's purpose. Writing: We are focusing on opinion writing and editing/revising this quarter. Science/Social Studies: Inventions and Simple Machines

Reminders: Please have your student finish/fix their math sent home in their folders. Students also need to read to you every night. Our school-wide book would be a great book to read as a family! Please check folders daily. Please send a snack for your child. Please send your child dressed in warm clothing with winter coats. Hats and gloves are encouraged. We go out to recess unless it is below freezing.
